Abstract

Xent presents a novel approach to private communication and value transfer by combining end-to-end encrypted messaging with non-custodial cryptocurrency transfers. Unlike existing solutions that require users to trust centralized entities with their funds or metadata, Xent employs a zero-knowledge architecture that ensures complete privacy.

Our system leverages the Signal Protocol for message encryption, extended with additional privacy guarantees for metadata protection. For transfers, we introduce "Privacy Tunnels" - a mechanism that enables peer-to-peer value transfer without revealing transaction details to any intermediary, including Xent.

This whitepaper details the technical architecture, security model, and implementation considerations for the Xent platform. We demonstrate how our approach achieves strong privacy guarantees while maintaining usability and supporting multiple blockchain networks.
